Thinking Outside the Box in Buffalo
.

BakerSituation
A large chemical plant wanted some tanks that could be gravity drained from a height of 4'5” above ground. This was for a brine system cleanout job and the engineer insisted that the bottom drain needed to be at that level above the ground. The Buffalo branch didn't carry tank trailers in its inventory at that time. The plant had a situation and needed delivery within two days. If Baker couldn't deliver, their only alternative was to use tanker trailers from a local competitor.

BakerSolution
This is where Baker ingenuity came into play. Within a hour, the Baker rep came up with the idea of mounting two 10K tanks on flat bed trailers. By calculating the weight of the 14,000 gallons of brine along with the tanks, he decided it could work. The engineer loved the idea and gave Baker the “thumbs up”.

BakerResults
Once the customer saw how well the Baker solution worked, they quickly asked the rep to help them with other challenges they had. Our marketing department received a customer satisfaction postcard back from the customer after the job was complete. Baker received the highest scores in all categories. It was a huge success for all parties involved.
