Baker Tanks Highlights Product Expansion at WEFTEC

Seal Beach, Ca., September 21, 2005 Baker Tanks, the industry leader in providing liquid and solids containment solutions, will showcase its recently formed division, Baker Filtration, at the upcoming WEFTEC show in Washington, DC. Building on its long-standing, solid reputation for providing the most comprehensive range of responsive on-site services, engineering expertise and equipment selection, Baker Tanks is now expanding its product line-up to include nationwide specialty media filtration services.

Through the strategic acquisition of Cameron Environmental, Inc. (CEI), a leading filtration solutions provider, Baker Filtration now emerges as a prominent provider of liquid or vapor filtration, pollution control and sediment filtration services. “The acquisition of CEI is perfectly aligned with Baker Tanks’ growth strategy. CEI’s technical expertise combined with Baker Tanks’ unsurpassed response and national scope makes Baker the only company with the nationwide capacity to solve complex containment and filtration problems,” said Bryan Livingston, CEO of Baker Tanks. Leading the Baker Filtration rollout is Mehrzad Emanuel, former CEO of Cameron Environmental. “This is an exciting time for Baker Filtration as we expand our service capabilities into new markets and regions,” said Mehrzad Emanuel, Vice President of Filtration for Baker Tanks.

From engineered solutions to on-site services and waste management, Baker Filtration pulls expertise from such fields as activated carbon, applied science, and hazardous materials. A staff of scientists and engineers with extensive knowledge of the characteristics of contaminants, environmental laws and regulation, hazardous material management, and health & safety enable Baker Filtration to customize solutions to meet the requirements of each unique application.

Baker Filtration retains an extensive inventory of specialty media and filtration equipment. Specialty media applications include activated carbon, ion exchange resins, impregnated media, organoclay, sand and gravel. Baker Filtration’s equipment line-up includes high and low pressure carbon and specialty media vessels. Ranging from 200 to 20,000 pounds the adsorbers can easily be converted from liquid to vapor phase. Rounding out Baker Filtration’s equipment offerings are odor control systems, sand and multimedia filters, duplex cartridges, bag filters and auxiliary equipment such as blowers, pumps, controls and separators. Baker’s team of filtration experts will custom design each system to application specifications.

Once a system is designed Baker Filtration’s experienced on-site service technicians and waste management teams can provide cradle to grave support. From timely delivery, installation, pumping and vacuuming to packaging, transportation and disposition Baker offers a full complement of unsurpassed filtration support services. All of Baker Filtration’s service technicians are HAZWOPER trained.

Nationwide Baker Filtration services are supported by filtration hubs located in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston and Philadelphia. These stand alone filtration offices host an extensive inventory with complete on-site service crews. Satellite filtration offices are located in Portland, Denver and Boston.
